All accessories we sell are covered by manufacturer warranties. Valves and mechanical components typically carry a 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects. Electrical items (heating blankets, sensors, pumps) carry manufacturer-specific warranties ranging from 12 to 36 months.
Defective items are replaced or credited at our discretion within the warranty period. Consumable items (gaskets, labels, caps) are not warranted against normal wear but are guaranteed to be free from manufacturing defects on delivery. Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know which gasket material is compatible with my chemical?
Start with the SDS (Safety Data Sheet) for your chemical to identify its chemical family. Cross-reference against the gasket compatibility chart above. For aggressive chemicals or chemical mixtures, PTFE is the safest choice. For fuels and hydrocarbons, use Viton. For water-based solutions and mild chemicals, EPDM works well. When in doubt, contact us with the chemical name and we will advise on the correct material.
Do your valves fit all IBC totes, including non-US brands?
Our standard 2-inch butterfly and ball valves fit the vast majority of IBC totes that use the S60x6 standard outlet thread — which is the dominant global standard. Some older or non-standard IBCs may use different thread patterns. If you are unsure, measure your outlet thread OD and pitch or send us a photo of the existing valve and we will identify the correct replacement.
What is the difference between AODD (air-operated) and electric pump systems?
AODD (Air-Operated Double Diaphragm) pumps run on compressed air and are preferred for flammable liquids (no electrical spark risk), outdoor use, or when no power is available. They self-prime, run dry without damage, and handle viscous and shear-sensitive fluids well. Electric centrifugal pumps offer higher flow rates and are more energy-efficient for continuous transfer of non-flammable liquids in powered facilities.
Can heating blankets be left on continuously or unattended?
Our heating blankets include over-temperature protection and thermostat controls that cycle the heating element to maintain set temperature rather than continuously heating. This makes them safe for unattended operation. However, always follow the manufacturer's guidelines, ensure proper power supply grounding, and verify electrical codes for your jurisdiction. Do not use heating blankets with flammable contents without consulting your safety officer and confirming the correct ignition class rating.
What are the EPA requirements for IBC spill containment?
Under 40 CFR Part 112 (the SPCC rule), facilities storing above-ground oil in quantities that could reach navigable waters must have secondary containment equal to 110% of the largest tank volume or the entire volume of the IBC if multiple units are in a group. Our containment pallets and quad bunds are designed to meet these requirements. Consult with a qualified EHS professional to confirm compliance for your specific facility and applicable regulations.
Do you carry accessories for specific IBC brands like Schutz or Mauser?
Most of our accessories are universal-fit and compatible with Schutz, Mauser, Hoover Ferguson, and other major IBC brands, since they use the same S60x6 outlet thread and 150mm fill neck standards. For brand-specific accessories (like Schutz NW150 caps or Mauser-specific valve bodies), contact us with the brand and model and we will source the correct part or recommend a compatible alternative.
